Mark your calendars
Upcoming performances for Rosamond Band
Thursday, April 16: Assembly at Rosamond, 2:00pm
Students will be called down to the gym at 1:45
Please wear nice clothes, doesn’t have to be “Sunday best” but something nice (slacks, shirt with collar, etc.)
We will be playing Eagle Summit March, Clog Dance, Let’s Go Band, and Pirates of the Caribbean, plus a few other shorter pieces. Hopefully Star Wars as well. Several students will also be playing solos and duets, and some students from Riverton High will be joining us.
Parents and/or grandparents are welcome to attend
Thursday, April 16: Monster concert at Herriman High school, starting at 4:15pm
Students need to be at Herriman High school by 4:15 to rehearse (address for Herriman is 11917 South 6000 West). It takes a long time to get everyone set up on stage so the sooner you can get there the better.
We will rehearse on stage from 4:15 until 6:15.
At 6:15 we will have a break for dinner. Students need to bring a sack lunch for dinner and we will eat in the cafeteria at the school. Families are welcome to eat with their students.
For those who are interested, we will be chipping in to get some pizzas for dinner. There will be a sign-up form later for those who want to chip in for pizza. (This is not required)
At 6:45 we will need to clean up after ourselves (leave the cafeteria cleaner than we found it) and be back on stage to warm-up.
The concert begins promptly at 7:00pm and will probably last about 35 minutes.
Students are encouraged to bring water bottles since it will be difficult to get on and off the stage to get drinks during the rehearsal.
If students have their own music stands they are welcome to bring them, just make sure they’re labeled. Folding stands often look exactly the same!
All students need to wear plain white shirts (doesn’t matter what kind), dark pants/skirts and dark socks and shoes.
We will be playing Montego Bay, Rainbow Connection, Eagle Summit March, Clog Dance, Pirates of the Caribbean, Silver Rocket, and Let’s Go Band.
After the concert we’ll need help cleaning up the chairs and stands.
We will not have band on Friday, April 17, but other than that we will continue to have band as usual until the end of April.
